Year 11 students celebrate GCSE and BTEC success
/in General News/by Charles CrossYear 11 students and their families are celebrating GCSE and BTEC success today, with a record number achieving the grades for entry into the Beaumont Sixth Form. Mr Atkinson said, “Some of the students celebrating today were only 14 when the national lockdown and our remote learning program came into effect and I am very proud of the resilience, maturity and motivation our students demonstrated throughout the past 18 months. Their success is fully earned and wholly deserved.” Ms Cleverly, Head of Year 11, added, “Teachers, Form Tutors and Teaching Assistants worked incredibly hard to ensure that students were fully supported in their learning and well-being through the periods of remote learning and the whole staff community has pulled together brilliantly to keep everything going so successfully and safely through the pandemic ”
Tears of joy and relief at ‘A’ level results success
/in General News/by Charles CrossBeaumont students have overcome the challenges of the Covid pandemic to achieve outstanding results in their ‘A’ level and BTEC courses, with a record number securing a place at a university of their choice. Twins Rob and Tom Linzell (pictured) will be taking degrees in Engineering next year as a result of being awarded five A* two A grades.
Mr Atkinson (Headteacher) said, “I am immensely proud of what this cohort has achieved in unprecedented circumstances. Throughout the periods of national lockdown, their teachers ensured that quality learning could continue remotely, backed up with additional support from the pastoral staff, and our Year 13 students rose to the challenge brilliantly”. Mrs Powdrell (Deputy Headteacher), added, “As a school, we were able to meet all of the quality assurance standards set by Ofqual and the exam boards in how we assessed our students and we are confident that our leavers have gained skills and qualifications that will enable them to embrace fully the opportunities of Higher Education and beyond”.

Beaumont Heartbeat Challenge
/in General News/by Charles CrossThe newly appointed Key Stage 3 Beaumont Leaders have launched their first project …
Due to recent events in the EURO 2020 football tournament, it has come to our attention that we currently have only one defibrillator within our ever growing school. This piece of life saving equipment is located in the A Block reception and there are parts of the school that are now quite far away. We wish to fund-raise enough money to buy at least one more defibrillator that is accessible for other parts of the school and playing fields. We have come up with the amazing idea of the Beaumont Heartbeat Challenge.
This is a fundraiser that invites students, staff and parents to take part in one (or both!) of these activities.
1: Run, walk, wheel, ride, (or any other physical activity) 111 miles as a group on Strava! This can be a group of friends, a family, a form, a sports team or anyone else. 111 miles is significant because this is the distance between Christian Eriksen’s place of birth and the place where he collapsed.

2: Have a week where you help out around the house, and get sponsored for it! For example, do the washing up and have a family member donate £3 to the BHC! So please join in and set yourself up with a Beaumont Heartbeat Fundraising page here.
The Beaumont Heartbeat Challenge finishes on Monday 19th July so please make sure that all donations are registered by then.
