Congratulations to Year 13 student, Zak Smith, who will be representing the UK in the International Olympiad in Informatics this August, in Azerbaijan. To join the team of four, he successfully competed in the three-day national computer programming final at Trinity College, Cambridge.

Students have worked with Dr Jones and Affinity Water to raise whole-school awareness of the need to use water responsibly, culminating in an “Aqua-Fair”, which raised over £1300 for Water Aid UK!
Members of the Royal Navy Recruitment Logistics Team have paid a visit to a Year 9 Food Technology lesson to talk about careers in the Navy as well as providing a master class in cooking. The “omelette challenge” had students (and the teacher!) displaying their best culinary skills.
