The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Beaumont School

We run the award at all three levels – Bronze in Year 10, Silver in Year 11 and Gold in Year 12.

Students work hard at four sections (five for Gold) throughout the year, culminating in their expeditions. For Bronze level we go to the Chilterns, for Silver the New Forest and Ashdown Forest and for Gold the Peak District.

The staffing for DofE is mainly voluntary, consisting of members of staff and parents and we welcome any offers of help.

We have a twitter account which is active during expeditions (https://twitter.com/BeaumontDofE) and a site with information for parents and participants here

‘From our very first visit to Beaumont at an 'open evening', there has always been a sense of a special friendly, welcoming and happy atmosphere. As parents we could not have hoped for more from our children's school.’
