All Year 10 students take part in a week of Work Experience during the Curriculum Enrichment Week towards the end of the summer term.
This is an important element of the programme of Careers Education Information and Guidance provision from which our students benefit throughout their time at Beaumont – click here for further information. The vast majority of Year 10 students enjoy their week of work experience and count it as a valuable experience. Whilst with the costs of placements continuing to rise some schools are withdrawing or limiting Work Experience, we believe that it plays an essential part in our students’ preparation for life and will continue to offer this opportunity.
Our Work Experience programme is delivered in partnership with Youth Connexions. Students can request a placement sourced by Youth Connexions, or can alternatively arrange their own placement. Private placements will be checked for Health and Safety by Youth Connexions before they are approved. The form which needs to be completed for private placements can be downloaded here.
