Beaumont welcomes students seeking to join its large, popular Sixth Form, which possesses an outstanding local reputation.
Achievement in the Sixth Form is outstanding – OFSTED 2014 Teaching in the Sixth Form is outstanding – OFSTED 2014 Leadership of the Sixth Form is outstanding – OFSTED 2014 Students make outstanding progress which means they leave Year 13 with standards well above average – OFSTED 2014 Our Sixth Form currently consists of approximately 460 students, more than 100 of whom joined from other schools to undertake their studies. Academic outcomes are outstanding, as detailed on our Results page. Crucially, students are extremely well supported in their studies and personal development, an area which is acknowledged as a great strength of our school. There are no restrictions on applications other than each prospective student being likely to meet our course entry criteria (see below), and being able to travel to the school site to begin classes at 8.30am. We are delighted that a major expansion of our dedicated Sixth Form facilities opened in July 2014, doubling the size of the study and social facilities available to our students. Click here for further information. Our formal application process commences this year with our ‘Into the Sixth Form’ evening, which will take place on Thursday 19th January, 6.00 – 8.30pm. There is no requirement to book. This is the opportunity to obtain an overview of what we have to offer plus a Sixth Form prospectus and an application pack. There will be presentations from the Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form and you will be able to speak to subject specific staff who will offer information and advice. You should attend if you are already at Beaumont, in Year 11, or you are currently studying at a different school and considering applying.
