History
Students in Year 7 will be set around five home learning tasks per half term. These tasks will consist of a mixture of Carousel Learning quizzes, source analysis tasks and reading comprehension tasks. These tasks are designed to strengthen students’ knowledge and understanding of the topics they have covered in lessons, to allow them to practise analysing sources in depth, and to deepen and extend their knowledge by encountering a range of historical worlds. Students will also be set assessment preparation as necessary throughout the year. Students are expected to spend between 20 and 30 minutes completing these tasks.Key Stage 3
Students are routinely set a mixture of Seneca Learning quizzes, pre-reading activities and consolidation tasks which complement the work they have completed in lessons. Students will also be required to prepare for in-class assessments by reviewing specific topics and exam question styles. All of these tasks are designed to strengthen students’ knowledge and understanding of the topics which make up the GCSE, as well as helping them to develop effective study habits. Students are expected to spend between 45 and 60 minutes completing their home learning tasks.Key Stage 4
