Drama
Though Drama is an academic subject we will not be issuing Home Learning for Key Stage Three. Instead, we would like students to embrace the extensive extra-curricular opportunities offered. Here students will learn and develop further skills required to be a strong Drama student: independence, cooperation, time management and communication, alongside more specific skills related to the subject (performance, creating, directing, script, ensemble, dance etc).Key Stage 3
Students will be set a variety of tasks as they progress through the GCSE course. These may come in the form of line learning for scripted performance, rehearsals, design completion, vocabulary learning and quizzes, portfolio tasks for the NEA Devising unit, reading script/text in preparation for lessons, research tasks, watching live theatre online and writing practice questions in preparation for the written exam. Home learning is scheduled based on the students’ progression through the course and we are mindful with deadlines for completion. Home learning may need to be completed online or in books.Key Stage 4
