Personal Development Days
The normal weekly timetable is the main method for delivering the broad and balanced curriculum on which Beaumont prides itself, but this provision is enriched by a carefully constructed programme of activities which enhances students’ experiences and makes learning both more enjoyable and more effective.
An imaginative and extensive range of extra-curricular clubs, study-support and trips are offered by the school. Students spoke enthusiastically about these well-attended opportunities, which take place at lunchtime and after school – OFSTED 2014 Personal Development Days are spread through the school year when the normal timetable is suspended and students in each Year Group are involved in special curriculum-related activities, such as Skills for Success, Careers and PSHCEE activities, as well as Economics, Geography, PE, Art, Drama and History off-site activities. In addition, a whole week in July is dedicated to trips, visits, and on-site activities for Years 7-10 The programme changes slightly from year to year.
