Beaumont’s Sports Hall Complex (which incorporates the Maths and Computing departments and the new Reception area) has been Commended in the the St Albans Civic Society awards. Their citation referred to the sensitive use of good quality materials and the adroit arrangement of pitched roofs … providing a distinguished modern addition to the original school.

The under-15 Basketball team scored a crushing victory in the County League competition last night, beating Sandringham School 63:36 in a hard fought match.
Congratulations to our Year 7 Girls’ Cross-Country team who are District Champions after their victory in the Year 7 Mob Race earlier this term.
Five Year 13 Chemists are celebrating their success in this year’s Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. Andrew Oliver, Leo Broom, Kate Chamberlain, Laurence Allen and Martha Stagg (not pictured) between them achieved Copper and Silver accreditation in the highly demanding test of knowledge which is designed to stretch the most able ‘A’ level Chemistry students.
