Admissions

The school’s motto of ‘enjoy and excel’ is embraced by both students and staff  -  OFSTED 2014

Beaumont's entry in the Hertfordshire Directory can be found here. Families wishing to join Beaumont School in Year 7 should apply through the Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) admissions procedures.  Information on the procedures for admissions can be found by clicking here.

Please be aware that ‘in year’ admissions are still carried out by HCC, therefore, if you are applying for a place in the middle of an academic year (e.g. you are moving into the area), please contact them directly on 0300 123 4043.  For further information on ‘in year’ admissions, please click here.  The School Admission Appeals timetable can be found by clicking here.

Parents of children looking to join Beaumont from September 2017 should click here for the Beaumont School Admissions Criteria which will apply from that time.

After a consultation process involving the school and local community, our Published Admission Number (PAN) will increase by 30 to 210 in Year 7, commencing September 2018. Parents of children looking to join Beaumont from September 2018 should click here for the Beaumont School Admissions Criteria which will apply from that time.

Governors agreed at the Full Governing Body meeting on Thursday 23 March 2017 that two year groups would increase from September 2017 by 6 students over the Published Admission Number (PAN).  The two year groups are Year 8 and Year 10*. Therefore from September 2017, Years 8 and 10 will admit 186 students.  This is already the case with Year 7 and Year 9 in 2017-18.

*Year 10 – the increase in students will take place from the start of the summer term 2017,  during Year 9, to allow students to begin their GCSE courses alongside current students from June 2017

Please note that HCC deals with ALL admissions for Beaumont School.  All questions relating to admissions should be directed to HCC by telephoning 0300 123 4043 or via email at hertsdirect@hertscc.gov.uk
